Last week as we drove into the grounds of Mount Stewart we spotted a beautiful red squirrel scampering across the road into the trees. Our eyes feasted on the wonders of nature during our exploration visit; spotting butterflies, shield bugs and various fungi and as anyone will know these wonders are the subjects of our photography. Yesterday after another exhausting afternoon our minds with finding more butterflies we were on our way back to the car when we heard splashes! We had to stop (despite the time going on) and take a few photos of a pair of Chaffinch making use of the puddle. They saw the silver lining behind clouds we often complain about. I have to note yesterday was the most glorious day but the puddle was left from the overnight rain.
