Festival of Light

Today our tickets to the Festival of Light at Mount Stewart, one of our favourite National Trust properties arrived. This will be the first time we have attended an event like this and we are really looking forward to the experience. The event starts with a Halloween special, timorous me decided this wouldn't be the night I would like to be there so we opted for a different date and hope that we will have some amazing photos to share after our visit.

I will be saving up energy for the week before and that day I will definitely be resting as due to the nature of the event we will be out later in the evening than I am used to but I feel I would regret not going to this even if I have to be strict with resting before we go. I might even try a short vlog of the experience, weather and cold hands permitting.  The festival continues each weekend throughout November

Hundreds of trees around the lake will be illuminated in various colour combinations and animated light displays will take place reflecting in the lake. The lighting will be accompanied by a magical soundtrack.

Doesn't this sound wonderful? If you would like to see and hear what we are anticipating please visit Mount Stewart's video and I am sure you will agree a visit to this is not to be missed. Excited, much!
